What's New With the Easterling Family?

This has been an very busy year for us!

Luke turned 18 in November and had a terrific football season with the Temple Heights Eagles, breaking the school's single-season passing record while taking every snap at QB for the season.  More about him in the sidebar.

Trevor, 13, is excited about beginning drama and acting classes.  He still enjoys reading and art, and is our family morale booster. He remains heavily involved in the church youth group and enjoys singing on the youth praise team.  A recent addition to the adult choir (nice pipes, Moose!), he feels he is being called to the ministry in some form.

Matt, 11, enjoyed his season in youth football and is looking forward to joining the THCS Eagles football team in the near future.  He still keeps us all rolling on the floor laughing with his dry wit and mischievous charm, and he still gives the best back-rubs on the planet.

Rosie is soon to be 9 and adores dancing in a competition dance company. She dances four days a week and is currently taking six disciplines.  Her dance team did very well at the Nexstar competition, taking one Gold and three High Golds.  Their dance instructor won a choreography award for their lyrical number.  Rosie loves reading and writing and is currently making major advances in her computer and keyboarding skills. She continues to perfect her bowling technique, and has begun making significant strides in vocal music lessons.

Steve still enjoys his job with the phone company, and is thoroughly loving being a sports and dance dad.  Ask him about being a "dancing dad".  He gets more handsome every day, and will blush profusely when he reads this.

Lisa is busy as always...homeschooling the children, tutoring, freelance writing, teaching creative writing classes, singing on the church praise team and in the adult choir, coaching and ministering through several online groups, serving as a youth sponsor, and leading various workshops. And of course she still loves hanging out with friends at the Barnes & Noble Cafe every chance she gets, chatting and sipping Starbuck's Mocha Vanilla Frappuccinos.

Planning for our coming school year is in the works.  This is the Great Adventure!

Luke Winding Down on Senior Year

It is with bittersweet excitement that we celebrate the end of Luke's senior year.  He has earned two scholarships thus far and has enrolled at a fantastic university to pursue a degree in journalism/mass communication.  He will be playing college football beginning winter/spring of 2005, and is soon to start a full-time position in his chosen field with a major newspaper.  God is good, all the time.
